The 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Jan 10, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
This year's conference, which has 16 partner organizations and 34 partner countries participating, is organized under the theme "Gateway to the Future." The North-Eastern Region's Ministry of Development is also using the summit as a forum to highlight investment prospects in the region.
Encouraging investments from the audience in his opening speech, the PM said, “You are not only investing in India but also shaping a new generation of young creators and consumers. Your partnership with the aspirational young generation of India can bring results which you could not have even imagined.”

The event was attended by business leaders, representatives from Indian and global firms. The attendees commended PM Modi's vision for the state, as he laid the foundations for its entrepreneurial success during his tenure as the Chief Minister.
Addressing the gathering, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance, outlined five objectives to establish Gujarat as a worldwide leader. They focused on renewable energy, 5G, farmers and small businesses, development of new materials and circular economy and improving education, sports and skills infrastructure of the state.
Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technologies, stated that the firm will establish a world-class memory assembly and test facility in Gujarat in partnership with TATA Projects. “Combined investment by Micron and Government over both phases could reach up to US$ 2.75 billion”, he said, adding that the first phase covering an area of 500,000 sq feet will be operational by early 2025.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group commended the Prime Minister for reorienting India to become the fastest-growing country in the world and positioning it as a global social champion. He also announced an investment of Rs 55,000 crore (approx US$ 6 million) in the state of Gujarat by 2025, which will create 25,000 direct and indirect jobs.
UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the summit as the chief guest. Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Mozambique President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta also attended the event. PM Modi held bilateral meetings with the guests on the sidelines of the summit.
