Richard Hanania, an American political science researcher and commentator, has criticized immigration restrictionists, calling them "offensive" in comparison to the life-saving work of immigrant scientists.
Hanania was referring to a groundbreaking study led by Vinod Balachandran, the lead researcher behind an mRNA vaccine for pancreatic cancer, a disease with a 90% fatality rate. The study produced astonishing results. “His study showed that within five years, 75% of patients were both alive and cancer-free, a miraculous result,” Hanania noted.
