Pomona College has named alumna Priya Amritraj the recipient of its 2025 Inspirational Young Alumni Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the global entertainment industry and her commitment to championing diverse, inclusive storytelling.
Priya, a 2015 graduate, is the daughter of Indian-American film producer Ashok Amritraj who is the current chairman and CEO of Hyde Park Entertainment Group. Following in his legacy of global storytelling, she now heads the film and television division of the firm, overseeing creative development and production across film, TV, digital, and global content.

Her work centers on amplifying culturally rich and female-driven narratives, with upcoming projects including The Joy Luck Club 2, Audition, and Hip Hop Cop, a series developed with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
She is also developing Pashmina, an animated Netflix feature with director Gurinder Chadha; Paradise Towers, a Hindi-language series with Zoya Akhtar; and the documentary Louder Together, narrated by Hugh Jackman.
Amritraj works closely with both emerging artists and renowned filmmakers including Werner Herzog, Julie Delpy, and Ramin Bahrani. Her past credits include 99 Homes, Prey (with Blumhouse), and several social impact projects with Participant Media.
