Rep. Thanedar files articles of impeachment against Trump

The Indian American Congressman alleged that the President’s conduct in and out of office continues to pose a danger to democratic institutions.

Congressman Shri Thanedar on Apr.28 introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, citing what he called “a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law”.

The resolution, introduced in the House of Representatives, lays out seven articles of impeachment accusing Trump of high crimes and misdemeanors. Thanedar, a Democrat whose district includes Detroit, Downriver, and the Grosse Pointes, said the President’s conduct in and out of office continues to pose a danger to democratic institutions.
