RadiantGraph, a San Francisco-based healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Geeta Nayyar as its first chief medical officer.
Previously, Nayyar held the role of chief medical officer at Salesforce and AT&T, among other executive roles. Currently, she serves on the board of the American Telemedicine Association and as an advisor to the American Medical Association.
Nayyar helps leaders leverage a human approach to innovation, including rapid advances in artificial intelligence, to achieve better health and business outcomes, according to an official statement.
In addition, she is a public speaker and author of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller, ‘Dead Wrong: Diagnosing and Treating Healthcare’s Misinformation Illness’
Commenting on the new role, Nayyar said, “The possibilities for advancement that exist in healthcare technology have never been more real or palpable. AI has the potential to be a force multiplier for consumer health, but any new technology must be developed with intentionality and application to better humanity.
Believing in the company’s purpose to use artificial intelligence as a tool to enhance the healthcare system, she further expressed, “I saw in RadiantGraph the purposeful development of an advanced AI that was able to bring a human side to technology with the promise of enhancing a healthcare system that is struggling to catch up with how consumers engage and interact.”
To address the disconnect between consumer communication and healthcare, Nayyar has been advocating for healthcare personalization and over the past five years is working to develop a way to impactfully improve consumer engagement I'm the field.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was admitted into an accelerated program at the age of 17. Also, she has completed her MBA from the George Washington University School of Business. Born in West Virginia, she spent her early childhood in India.
