Rajasthan Royals Academy inaugurated in New Jersey

Jaipur-based Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Rajasthan Royals, known for discovering and nurturing going cricketing talents, recently inaugurated its academy in New Jersey, United States.
This development comes as the popularity of cricket, especially its shortest format (T20) is gaining momentum in the country. The United States is set to jointly host the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup with West Indies in June.
Rajasthan Royals Academy of New Jersey (RRANJ) will aim to “Transform Cricket through Innovation” and discover, develop, nurture and promote young cricketing talent in the country, an official statement said.

The inaugural weekend featured master classes held by Siddhartha Lahiri, global head of Rajasthan Royals Academy, Coach – Rajasthan Royals; Batting Coach – Paarl Royals; Assistant Coach – Barbados Royals. Lahiri introduced the attendees to the “Royal Way” of playing cricket.
Additionally the academy’s coaches also participated in a full-day training into the “Royals Way” of coaching and playing the game.
The academy was founded in 2005 by former representative cricketer Sid Lahiri. It has established its presence in the United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates before venturing into the United States.
