The current MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings reveal that Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi, has climbed to the top of the bowling rankings.
Despite having only made his debut on the international scene at the beginning of 2022, Bishnoi, 23, has risen four spots to the top of the revised rankings courtesy of some consistent performances in his recent showings.
In India's recent 4-1 series victory over Australia at home, the young cricketer was voted Player of the Series. Since making his T20I debut against the West Indies in February 2022, he has taken 34 wickets in 21 matches.
At the 2020 ICC Men's Under 19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, the leg-spinner finished with the most wickets (17) of any player, helping India finish second behind another Asian team, Bangladesh.
Even though he frequently trails Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin in the star-studded Indian bowling lineup, Bishnoi’s economy rate of 7.14 is among the best for the current group of Indian bowlers.
The Indian is followed by Rashid Khan (second), Adil Rashid (tied for third), Wanindu Hasaranga (tied for third), and Maheesh Theekshana (fifth) in the rankings while fellow Indian spinner Axar Patel climbed 16 spots to take the 11th position.
On the batters list, Yashasvi Jaiswal of India rose 16 spots to 19th (581 points) while Travis Head rose 16 spots to 29th (548 points). Shubman Gill (826 points) of India continued to lead the MRF Tyres ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings.
