The RAYWA (Raising Awareness of Youth with Autism) Foundation marked 25 years of advocacy and empowerment for neurodiverse youth with its flagship event, The Inspirational Achievers (TIA) Awards Gala, on Dec. 14 at The Pierre Hotel in New York City.
The event recognized global changemakers, celebrated outstanding achievements, and included the launch of a limited-edition coffee table book, Roshni, written by Rashmee Sharma.
Hailing from Jaipur, India, Sharma is an award-winning journalist, educator and author. Her coffee table book series “Roshini” celebrates the achievements of Indian-origin people and highlights their professional success and philanthropy, fostering pride in South Asian heritage across North America and beyond.
Sponsored by Pfizer, Morgan Stanley, ICICI Bank, and other prominent organizations, the event showcased an array of honorees across fields like arts, healthcare, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.
Actor Alan Cumming, philanthropist Princess Diya Kumari, and luxury brand innovator Tonino Lamborghini were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Other notable awardees included Saul Van Buerden of Wells Fargo, Dennis Mathew of Altice USA, and Chiro Aikat of Mastercard for Corporate Leadership Excellence. Honorees in Philanthropy and Community Impact included Robin Ganzert of American Humane and Montgomery Township Mayor Neena Singh.
The evening featured a Tanishq USA fashion show, live performances, and remarks from RAYWA co-founder Manee Kamboj, who described the awards as "a tribute to the power of leadership rooted in empathy and purpose." “The TIA Awards are a celebration of those who not only achieve great success but also pave the way for others to follow,” Kamboj said.
