The Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) marked its five-year anniversary with an event in Mumbai, highlighting its work in health, education, and sports.
Established in 2019 by Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar, the foundation said it has positively impacted over 100,000 children during this period, in an official statement.
The event, held at The Bombay Club, featured discussions on the Foundation’s initiatives and future goals. Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar, who recently became the foundation’s director, addressed the gathering in her first official role. “I’ve seen the work of the foundation up close and its impact on families and children. This milestone is a reminder of the need to continue supporting young aspirations,” she said.
A short film showcased the foundation’s collaborations with over 15 NGO partners, emphasizing its focus on improving rural infrastructure, healthcare access for children, and education programs.
Sachin Tendulkar reflected on the journey, stating, “The idea behind STF was to support the less privileged and help young dreamers. It’s been a challenging but rewarding five years, and with Sara now taking on a leadership role, the Foundation aims to expand its reach.”
The Foundation also outlined plans to scale up its initiatives in the coming years, focusing on creating sports infrastructure, healthcare access, and educational opportunities in underserved areas.
