The South Asian Mental Health Initiative and Network (SAMHIN) hosted a picnic in appreciation of its volunteers. This was the first opportunity for many attendees to meet since the pandemic. All those who marked their presence enjoyed Indian food, played fun games as well and widened their network.
There was also a small presentation about SAMHIN's progress since its launch in 2014. Many initiatives of the non-profit such as its helpline, support groups, workshops, and community outreach events that include mental health screenings were discussed. Those who had been positively impacted by SAMHIN's work shared their thoughts and experiences.
