The Chicago Open University recognized Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Noida Film City and president of Marwah Studios, for his contributions to education and the development of cultural relations between India and the United States.
The award was presented by Ravi Gupta, the university's India representative, at a ceremony held at the India International Centre in Lodi Estate, New Delhi. It recognized Marwah's efforts in promoting Indo-US relations through art, culture, and education.
In his acceptance speech, Marwah expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, " It is a recognition of our persistent efforts in developing and promoting Indo-US relations through the mediums of art, culture, and education. This honor reaffirms our commitment to further strengthening these ties.”
Marwah, who also chairs the Indo-American Film and Cultural Forum, has been instrumental in building cultural bridges between the two nations. His work has garnered international acclaim, earning him over 1,000 national and international awards. He holds nine world records and is the founder of the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), one of the top 10 film schools globally.
In addition to his educational and cultural contributions, Marwah serves in various leadership roles, including national chairman for Media and Entertainment Committee in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and board member of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Skill Development in India. He is also a cultural representative for 69 countries across Asia, Africa, America, and Europe.
