Senators Rick Scott and Mike Lee have publicly endorsed biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio governor, giving his potential bid a significant boost.

Mike Lee, the senior senator from Utah, expressed his full support for Ramaswamy, stating, “If @VivekGRamaswamy runs for governor of Ohio (and I hope he does) he will not only win—he will transform Ohio for the better. The results will benefit Ohioans—and Americans—for generations. I’m honored to have worked with @VivekGRamaswamy, and I support him wholeheartedly.”

Ramaswamy responded to Lee’s endorsement with gratitude, tweeting, “Thank you, @BasedMikeLee! Means a lot coming from one of the toughest fighters in the Senate.”

Florida Senator Rick Scott also threw his weight behind Ramaswamy’s potential run, citing their past collaboration and the entrepreneur’s business acumen: “I’ve had the privilege of working closely with @VivekGRamaswamy, and he is totally focused on trying to save our country. He is a business guy who understands what’s needed to grow jobs, make government efficient, and help families prosper.”

“He would be a fantastic governor, and I hope he runs for governor of Ohio. If he runs, he has my full support and endorsement,” Scott added.

Ramaswamy, a Cincinnati native, recently stepped down from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a post he was appointed to by former President Donald Trump. His departure came just hours after Trump’s inauguration on Jan.20, fueling speculation about his gubernatorial aspirations.

During his tenure at DOGE, which he co-led alongside Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Ramaswamy was tasked with eliminating bureaucratic inefficiencies and cutting federal regulations as part of Trump’s “Save America” agenda.

With high-profile endorsements rolling in, Ramaswamy’s entry into the Ohio gubernatorial race could reshape the Republican primary landscape in the state.
