Dasharath Yata, executive co-director of the non-profit organization SEWA-AIFW was honored with the "Outstanding Community Service Award" by the Asian American Unity Coalition (AAUC).
The award was presented during a ceremony at the Rayburn House National Capital Building, highlighting Yata's leadership and the organization’s dedication to improving family wellness for Indian and South Asian communities.
The award acknowledges SEWA-AIFW's impactful work in supporting immigrant families, promoting health, and fostering wellness within the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.
