The World Woman Foundation announced the addition of Indian journalist Sonia Singh to its Advisory Council. Singh was recognized for her distinguished career in journalism and commitment to global contemporary challenges.
For over three decades, Singh has been the face of 'The NDTV Dialogues,' a show focusing on understanding on key national and international issues and a look at potential solutions.She earned the Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism at the Exchange for Media Awards earlier this year. Her previous recognitions include the Best Editor in Chief title in 2015.
Singh also authored the book 'Defining India: Through Their Eyes.' Published by Penguin in 2019, it featured interviews with prominent figures across various domains.
She attended international forums including the World Assembly for Women in Japan and the World Woman Foundation's event in Davos, Switzerland, where she shared her profound insights on 'Media and Democracy.'
Her academic background includes a BA in English Honors from St. Stephen's College and a Master's in English from the same institution, studying about India's social, economic, and governance evolution.

Women and girls represent half of the world's population and its untapped potential. Yet, gender inequality persists, thwarting social progress. Under the guidance of Sonia Singh, the World Woman Foundation aims to confront these challenges head-on."
