Splashtop appoints Venkat Nagaswamy as chief revenue officer

California-based information technology solutions provider Splashtop has appointed Venkat Nagaswamy as its chief revenue officer (CRO).

In his new role, Nagaswamy heads the sales and marketing departments, leveraging his expertise in digital transformation, pipeline creation, and strategic acquisition to align with the company’s long-term goals.

Reacting to his appointment, Nagaswamy said, "The company's commitment to innovation aligns with my passion for driving technological advancements. I am eager to contribute to Splashtop's journey and help shape the future of this dynamic industry." He also emphasized the company's commitment to provide secure remote access technology.

Recognizing Nagaswamy's expertise, Splashtop's CEO Mark Lee, said that his unparalleled experience and strategic mindset make him the perfect fit for Splashtop's ambitious goals. “As chief revenue officer, he will play a crucial role in driving our Sales and Marketing functions to new heights, aligning with our vision for sustained growth and innovation,” Lee added.

Indian-origin Nagaswamy is a seasoned C-level high-tech executive. He has served in various positions, including global vice president of demand generation and board member in companies like Mitel, Via Services, 8X8, and McKinsey & Company.

He is a pioneer in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to business-to-business (B2B) marketing. He also served as the co-founder and CEO of Mariana.

Nagaswamy completed his MBA from the Stephen M Ross School of Business of the University of Michigan; MS in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology; and bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Madras.
