Student Transportation of America (STA), a New Jersey-based school bus transportation provider, has appointed Raje Dwaraka as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Dwaraka, a senior finance executive with 25 years of experience, will oversee STA’s financial operations as the company continues expanding its transportation services across the U.S. and Canada.
"We are thrilled to welcome Raje to the STA team as our new Chief Financial Officer," said Gene Kowalczewski, CEO of Student Transportation of America. "Her background in finance leadership and expertise in driving operational efficiency will be instrumental in fostering sustainable growth for STA, especially as we navigate this next chapter of market growth."
Dwaraka has held key financial leadership roles in public, private, and private equity-backed companies across manufacturing, technology, and service industries. Before joining STA, she served as CFO at Davis-Standard and was previously the chief accounting officer at Nielsen IQ.
"I'm looking forward to working with the Leadership Team to help advance STA's mission and further solidify its industry-leading position in the transportation industry," said Dwaraka.
Dwaraka, a certified public accountant and chartered accountant, earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Madras University in India. She has experience in strategic planning, risk management, financial transformation, and mergers and acquisitions.
