Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has appointed Sudhakar Veluru as its new executive vice president and chief information technology officer (CITO).
Effective immediately, Veluru’s appointment came amid the company’s plans to enhance its strategic vision for digital infrastructure and guest experiences.
Reporting directly to Alejandro Reynal, president and CEO of Four Seasons, Veluru will operate from the company’s corporate headquarters in Miami.
Veluru started as the chief technology officer at MGM Resorts International, where he led digital initiatives. His career in technology and IT innovation helped the company modernize its technological capabilities and elevate its luxury properties.
He had spent over two decades in the industry, with previous roles involving The Walt Disney Company and MGM Resorts International. Veluru got his bachelor’s degree from NIT Warangal, a master’s in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, and an MBA from Arizona State University. In addition, he also gained certifications as an enterprise architect and project management professional.
Commenting on the appointment, Veluru said, “I am thrilled to join Four Seasons, an iconic brand renowned for its unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence.” He highlighted his commitment to advancing technological advancements that enhance guest experiences and shape the company’s future.
“I look forward to joining a talented team of experienced leaders from around the world. Together, we will spearhead technological and IT advancements that will elevate the guest and resident experience and continue to build the critical foundations and capabilities needed to shape Four Seasons future,” he added.
Reynal, president and CEO of Four Seasons, welcomed Veluru’s appointment, emphasizing his significance in the company’s information technology transformation. “Sudhakar’s extensive experience in technology and IT innovation will be instrumental in shaping our digital-first future, further enhancing the guest, resident, and employee experience across our growing global portfolio of luxury properties,” he said.
Four Seasons, founded in 1961, is a luxury hotel chain with over 129 hotels and resorts. Moreover, they are spread across 47 countries with over 50 new projects in development.
