Three U.S. cities—Nassau County in New York, Grand Prairie in Dallas, and Lauderhill in Florida—hosted 16 of the tournament’s 55 matches, drawing thousands of international and domestic visitors.

According to the report, the event injected new life into the U.S. sports and tourism sector, particularly through improvements in transport infrastructure and hotel capacity. Local businesses saw direct benefits across hospitality, retail, and service industries, as the tournament encouraged significant consumer spending.

The USA alone recorded a total food and beverage spend of US $ 52.9 million, signaling heightened activity in restaurants, bars, and catering services. Media exposure from branding, promotional content, and live broadcasts helped elevate the profile of U.S. host cities, contributing to a broader media impact of US $ 92.5 million across all host locations.

With nearly half of international visitors indicating plans to return, the tournament’s long-term tourism impact is projected to contribute to sustained economic growth.

ICC chief executive Geoff Allardice emphasized the transformative nature of the event, calling it a "powerful driver of growth" and a major step toward establishing the U.S. as a future hub for international cricket. “This highlights the powerful role that ICC events play in driving growth within host communities. Beyond the impressive financial returns, the World Cup has showcased the USA and West Indies as premier destinations for sports and tourism to a global audience.”
