Indian multinational information technology company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been named a leader in the Everest Group PEAK Matrix for 5G Engineering Services. The company provides 5G engineering services across product engineering, network engineering, and solution engineering, spanning strategy and consulting, design, implementation, testing, and support services.
The company has said in its statement that it believes that pervasive connectivity is the digital backbone. It is working closely with customers and industry groups in creating next-generation connectivity technologies like 5G, software-defined networks and satellite communications.
The company listed its proprietary 5G engineering solutions: fiber rollout as a service; network test and automation; cloud-native industrialization platform; cognitive 5G backhaul controller; O-RAN test simulator; and 5G core test platform. The company has invested in centres of excellence (CoEs) focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT)- specific end-to-end solutions to cover edge/ soft sensor enablement till the cloud embraces a 5G ecosystem. In addition, the company has also created a network solutions and services (NSS) unit focused on telecom and its enterprise 5G services with end-to-end solutions like 5G rollout services, wireless engineering, next-gen OSS services, telco cloud transformation, network testing and operations.
TCS' business group head of technology, software and services, V Rajanna said, "We have been at the forefront of driving product co-innovation across the 5G value chain and helping clients pursue their growth and transformation journey." Everest Group's practice director Nishanth Udupa has said that the client feedback and focus on enhancing capabilities have helped the technology company retain its position as leader in the matrix assessment.
