Texas Governor appoints Indian-American investor, two others to OneStar Foundation

The OneStar Foundation provides technical assistance, education, information, and support to Texas’ volunteer community.

Abidali “Abid” Neemuchwala, Michael Parker and Robert G. / Dallas Venture Capital, OneStar Foundation

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Abidali “Abid” Neemuchwala and reappointed Michael Parker and Robert G "Bob" Wright, II to the OneStar Foundation. Their terms are set to expire on March 15, 2027.

The OneStar Foundation plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance, education, information, and support to Texas’ volunteer community. It aims to enhance and fortify the state’s volunteerism and community service infrastructure.

Neemuchwala, based in Little Elm, is a technology executive and investor. He serves as the co-founder and director of Dallas Venture Capital and holds the position of chairman at AXISCADES Inc. 

Additionally, Neemuchwala contributes as a board member to the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication from the National Institute of Technology in Raipur, India, and later completed his master’s degree in industrial management at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in Mumbai.

Parker, based in Weatherford, is a civil trial attorney and managing partner at Parker LL. He holds the rank of Major in the Texas State Guard and has previously served in the California State Guard. Parker is actively involved in legal associations, including the Federal Bar Association, where he contributes to several committees. 

Additionally, he is a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Parker's commitment to service is reflected in his leadership roles within the State Guard Association of the United States and the National Guard Association of Texas.

Robert G. "Bob" Wright, II, based in Dallas, is the founder and lead attorney of Wright Law Office. Additionally, he serves as a professor of practice in social entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Dallas. Wright earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Allegheny College and holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University.
