Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently concluded a successful economic development mission to India, facilitated by his Economic Development and Tourism Office and the Texas Economic Development Corporation.
In Mumbai and New Delhi, the Texas delegation engaged with corporate executives, business figures, and government representatives to showcase the strength of states’ economy, foster trade, promote job creation, and encourage capital investment by Indian companies in the state.
Abbott's second visit to the South Asian country, was aimed at reinforcing the collaborative partnership between India and Texas. "This economic development mission to India has strengthened our understanding of the deep cultural tenants that Texans and the Indian people share," the Governor said.
"We both have generous hearts, longing to see a brighter, more prosperous future for our children and grandchildren. Texas remains the most popular destination for Indian foreign direct investment and jobs created in the entire United States, and I am confident this enduring bond and strong collaboration will continue for years to come after this very productive economic development mission,” he added.
