Indians can now apply for a Thai visa online through the new electronic visa system, making travel to Thailand easier.

The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced that the e-Visa system will be available for Indian nationals starting Jan.1, 2025. This system will simplify the visa application process, allowing applicants to apply directly on the official website.

Applicants can submit their applications either by themselves or through a representative. The application process and further details are available on the e-Visa website.

However, the Embassy and Consulate-Generals will not be responsible for incomplete applications submitted by representatives.

Applicants must pay the visa fee using offline payment methods, with details provided by the Embassy and Consulate-Generals.

Visa fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, and applicants should refer to the Embassy or Consulate-Generals for specific payment instructions.

Once the payment is received, the processing time for the visa will be approximately 14 working days.

For those applying under the current system, ordinary passport applications at designated visa processing companies will be accepted until Dec. 16. Diplomatic and official passport applications can be submitted at the Embassy or Consulate-General until Dec. 24.

The 60-day visa exemption for tourism and short business trips for Indian ordinary passport holders will remain in effect until further notice.
