In a surprising turn of events, an old tweet by Indian actress Mallika Sherawat about the U.S. Vice President and now Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has resurfaced on social media.
In the tweet, originally posted in 2009, Sherawat shared a photograph with Harris from a high-profile event, captioning it, "Having fun at a fancy event with a woman who they say could be US President, Kamala Harris."
This prediction has now become a focal point of discussion online, with users lauding Sherawat's perceptiveness. One user remarked, "15 years ago...", while another stated, "Mallika was spot on…”. The tweet, which has now resurfaced, received 2.4 thousand retweets and 5.9 thousand likes.

The renewed interest in Sherawat's tweet coincides with President Joe Biden's recent announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2024. Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.
Though not an active part of the film industry at present, Mallika Sherawat, born Reema Lamba, is known for her roles in Hindi cinema. She gained widespread recognition with her bold performance in the 2004 film 'Murder' and has since appeared in numerous films including 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects', 'Aap Ka Suroor', and 'Double Dhamaal'.
In 2022, Sherawat revealed in an interview with ETimes that she had decided to leave Bollywood to explore new opportunities in the United States. She described her move as "fruitful," citing her meetings with former President Barack Obama, her collaboration on a music video with Bruno Mars, and her role in the independent film 'Politics of Love'.
