TiEcon to kick off on May 1

TiEcon 2024 will commence with a keynote by the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, who will be followed by others like Warner Thomas, the CEO of Sutter Health

The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global non-profit dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship is set to host its annual conference, TiEcon 2024 in Santa Clara, California from May 1-3.

The event, themed ‘AI Ubiquity: Envision the Future’, will bring together thought leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, researchers and academics under one roof to share experiences, engineering know-how and networking opportunities.

One of the world’s largest entrepreneur conferences, TiEcon 2024 will commence with a keynote by the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, who will be followed by others like Warner Thomas, the CEO of Sutter Health, one of the largest healthcare providers in the US.

“We have the best lineup in 32 years of TiEcon,” Anita Manwani tells New India Abroad. TiE Silicon Valley’s first woman president,  Manwani is recognized among top 100 Women of influence in Silicon Valley as a leading entrepreneur and tech leader. 

Commenting on the theme of the conference, Manwani said, “This conference has been curated in a way that there is something for everyone, a deep dive into technology as well as a business overview.”

“It provides an opportunity for learning, as well as interaction with corporate executives and thought leaders. Additionally it is reflective of SV’s race , gender and age diversity,” Manwani added.

Three artificial intelligence(AI) giants will lead workshops at TiEcon 2024 sharing the latest know-how of their technology platforms. Meta will guide attendees on how to use their  AI assistant, Llama3. Attendees can also use Meta Llama3 on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger to get things done, learn, create and connect.

NVIDIA’s AI/ML Bootcamp will highlight the latest AI and Machine Learning based on their platform, while the Google AI Bootcamp will offer hands-on workshop for attendees to transform their app development using the latest generative AI and optimize LLM performance. 

Google will also provide thought leadership and interact with startups. A masterclass in prompt engineering is also scheduled.

Nikesh Arora, CEO of Palo Alto Networks and CIO, Meerah Rajeval will share their companies strategies and Cyber Security Platform. Attendees will hear from corporate healthcare executives like Laura Wilt CDO Sutter, and AI entrepreneurs like Ping Wu and Stephen Gold (smart manufacturing).

A special Ask Me Anything session will be hosted by Naveen Chadha, managing partner, Mayfield Fund for entrepreneurs. Mayfield Fund, one of the oldest early-stage venture capital firms, believes that AI has catapulted the industry into the Cognition-as-a-Service (CaaS) era, a mega wave like IaaS, PaaS or SaaS.

At Mayfield, Chadha leads drives the GenAI Cognition-as-a Service focus. Chadha’s investments have created over $120 billion in equity value and over 40,000 jobs. 
 

“The sessions on May.3 are designed so the participants don’t have to make a choice, “ said Manwani. “Thought provoking conversations in AI are on the main stage with no competition from other panels. Two focused panels discuss high value disruptive solutions for AI by entrepreneurs and another panel shares AI solutions used by Enterprises,” she elaborated.

Bringing India’s AI startups to Santa Clara, CA

The flagship event of TiE Silicon Valley showcasing AI's ubiquity will also focus this year on "exponential" India, in recognition of the big role that India is playing in AI. A panel discussion titled ‘Exponential Opportunities in a Global India’ is scheduled for the opening day.

“TiE can help them kickstart their globalization in the US,” said Manwani. “India has become an important corridor for the US. A number of startups from India are coming to TiEcon with STPI and Nasscom. Thought leaders from India will share how they are investing in startups in India.”

Charter members attend conference at no cost

Sangeeta Anand, board member at the Sage Group and investor, advisor in AI lead enterprise software startups, who just became a charter member of TiE. She said "TiE gives one access to the enormous energy of current and future leaders in AI / enterprise solutions.  I've benefited from mentors and colleagues and am excited to have the chance to support new entrepreneurs and pay it forward."
