On January 20, President Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will usher in a renewed sense of hope and optimism in America.
Over the last 4 years in Joe Biden's America, Americans have suffered with an open border that has allowed illegal immigrants and illegal drugs to flood our country, high inflation that has caused Americans to be unable to afford necessities or the food for their tables and unsustainable spending that has put our nation into near insurmountable debt. Under President Trump and VP Vance, we will secure our border, control inflation and our limping economy, and reign in reckless government spending. Americans can trust the two leaders to deliver their promises on time and under budget.
They will also usher in a new and heightened era of U.S.-India relations. In the President's first term, the U.S. exported $30 billion worth defense equipment to India, signed to sell India more American-produced natural gas, and President Trump made a historic diplomatic visit to India.
Trump's first term contained landmark achievements in producing trade and peaceful diplomacy between countries. In the last four years, Joe Biden has accomplished nothing in advancing the U.S.-India relationship, nor has he advanced any of the great programs he inherited. Indian Americans can know that more progress will be made for the America-India partnership over the next four years, and all Americans can look forward to the greater prosperity to come.
For the comfort of all Hindu Americans, President Trump has already condemned the ongoing violence in Bangladesh against Hindus and Christians. Trump's focus diplomatically has always been to promote peaceful relations and to condemn violence against any group or people. Joe Biden has not uttered a single word to condemn the anti-Hindu violence anywhere, even in America. Biden also publicly opposed India's CAA, while President Trump has rightfully stayed neutral. As attacks on Hindus and Hindu temples take place around the world and even in America, Hindu Americans can rest assured that President Trump can secure our safety and security.
President Trump has already made significant strides by appointing a variety of strong Hindus and Indian Americans in his administration. He has nominated former Tulsi Gabbard as his director of national intelligence, Kash Patel as FBI Director, Harmeet Dhillon as assistant attorney general, Doctor Jay Bhattacharya as Director of the National Institute of Health, and Sriram Krishnan as senior policy advisor on AI. Tulsi Gabbard's long involvement in intelligence matters, as well as her public break from the disastrous national security outcomes of Biden's government, prove that her stewardship of America's Intelligence community will be a heel-turn moment for a community deeply mired in public distrust and failing track record.
Kash Patel has a long career in trying narco-trafficking cases, investigating terror groups like Al-Qa'ida, and a storied success in executing Trump's top priority of eliminating ISIS. Harmeet Dhillon's track record of litigating for the rights and liberties of Americans has made her an excellent choice in assisting America's Attorney General and leading his office in undoing much of the legal damage done under the Biden administration. Doctor Jay Bhattacharya boasts an almost thirty-year-long career in medicine, economics, and health policy. Dr. Bhattacharya's fight to depoliticize medicine and to get federal meddling out of our health makes him the perfect choice to reverse Biden's disastrous course. Sriram Krishnan has been involved in technology from Silicon Valley circles and has written numerous policy-aligned articles on the societal implications or effects of the technology we have been focused on releasing for the past and future 20 years. These great appointees underline what Indian Americans can bring to the table for America and how they make great additions to the country we love.
President Trump will accomplish things for America that we haven't even begun to consider. Hindus and Indian Americans can feel safer in their homes and with their families in a country whose government is working for the prosperity of everyone. Trump's second term will continue the outstanding achievements in international trade and diplomacy, many of which will be with India and Hindu communities across the planet.
