The UK India Business Council (UKIBC) has inked a partnership with Global Banking School (GBS), part of the Global Education Holdings Ltd (GEDU). GBS is a higher education institution in UK that fosters innovation in education and trains future professionals and leaders with a focus on today's competitive working market demands.
According to a release, the partnership will benefit through GEDU’s leadership in the higher education sector and UKIBC’s unique connections to both governments and industry knowledge. The UKIBC and GEDU will collaborate closely to encourage and enable ever-more education partnerships, cross-border trade, investment, and knowledge exchange between the UK and India, through the investment and job creation that GEDU is undertaking in the country.
“GEDU is making significant investments into India with a focus on medical education and fintech higher education in GIFT city. We aim to create 2,000 full-time jobs in India by 2030. UKIBC, as a strategic partner, will play a critical role to help us to achieve this,” GEDU Global Education CEO Dr Vishwajeet Rana said.
“We are delighted to continue and expand our relationship with GEDU and to welcome them as a Strategic Partner. The GEDU group is playing an increasingly important role in strengthening UK-India education collaborations, which is fundamentally important to the success of the wider bilateral relationship. Their plans, not least their campus in GIFT City, are truly exciting and we look forward to supporting them on this journey,” UKIBC managing director Kevin McCole said.
GBS is a higher education provider offering a range of sector-relevant courses across eight campuses in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds to mention a few. Working in partnership with several of the UK’s leading higher education providers, we deliver vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in finance, accounting, business, tourism, healthcare and more.
