Business management consulting firm Unissant Inc. has named Sumeet Shrivastava president and chief executive officer (CEO). The company's founder, Manish Malhotra, who has led Unissant for 16 years, will transition to the role of chief strategy officer while retaining his position as chairman of the Board.
This leadership change marks a significant milestone in Unissant's growth, highlighting its evolution from a small company to a mid-tier firm, an official statement said. The company specializes in delivering secure and innovative data solutions for federal healthcare and national security missions.
In his new position, Shrivastava draws on more than 30 years of expertise in information technology for the public sector. For the last two years, he has served on the Board of Advisors for Unissant. Previously, Shrivastava served as president and CEO of ARRAY, where he successfully guided the company through the federal small business program. His career also includes senior positions at Keane (now NTT Data) and ANSTEC.
Malhotra expressed confidence in Shrivastava's leadership, citing his extensive experience in the government contracting sector and his proven track record in scaling companies.“Sumeet has been a trusted advisor to Unissant and to me personally for almost two decades.His extensive background in government contracting and proven leadership make him the ideal successor. I am confident that Unissant will reach new heights under his guidance.”
Shrivastava, a long-time resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, is also deeply involved in the community and serves on various boards, including the George Mason University Foundation and the Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation. He expressed excitement about leading Unissant's next phase of growth and continuing its mission to provide exceptional value to federal clients.
“I’ve seen Manish grow Unissant from its infancy to an award-winning firm,” said Shrivastava. “I’m excited to lead the company in this new chapter.”
Sumeet Shrivastava holds an MBA from George Mason University and has a long-standing involvement with the university and the local community.
