US spent $24,000 per deportee to India using military aircraft
The military aircraft now used for deportations cost far more than the commercial and chartered flights that ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) normally uses for deportations, two Senators wrote in a letter.

Washington, Feb. 15 (5WH): Transporting 104 illegal immigrants abroad C-17 aircraft to Amritsar costed American taxpayers $24,000 (or Rs 20 lakhs) per person, a top Democratic Senator has said while two others have written to Defense Secretary against the use of a military flights for deportation through a charter flight as was the practice during the previous Biden Administration.
