The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has raised the premium processing fee for H-1B visa applications. The changes will come into effect from February 26, 2024.
As per the premium processing fees, they have increased for the forms I-129, I-140, I-539, and I-765. Form I-140 is the immigrant petition for alien worker, Form I-539 is an application to change or extend non-immigrant status; and Form I-765 is for employment authorization.
USCIS announced a final rule increasing the filing fee for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing. The fee change will go into effect on Feb. 26, 2024. We will reject any Form I-907 postmarked on or after Feb. 26, 2024 with the incorrect filing fee. https://t.co/29A1dVDUSL

The adjustment increases certain premium processing fees from US$ 1,500 to US$ 1,685, US$ 1,750 to US$ 1,965, and US$ 2,500 to US$ 2,805. According to the USCIS, an increase of 12 percent in H-1B visa processing will amount to US$ 2,805.
The USCIS Stabilization Act established the current premium processing fees and gave the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the authority to adjust the premium fees on a biennial basis.
According to the official statement, the Department will use the revenue generated by the premium processing fee increase to provide premium processing services, make improvements to adjudication processes, respond to adjudication demands, including reducing benefit request processing backlogs, and fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.
