USCIS introduces organization accounts for H-1B filing
Organizational accounts are likely to be launched by February 2024.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is launching a package of customer experience improvements for the H-1B cap season to enhance efficiency and facilitate collaboration between organizations and their legal representatives.
The federal agency is set to introduce organizational accounts for non-cap filings during the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap season. This innovation will enable multiple individuals within an organization, including company representatives and their legal advisors, to collaborate in the preparation of H-1B registrations, Form I-129 (Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker), and associated Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service).
“USCIS is always striving to improve and streamline our processes, and this is a big step forward,” said USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou in a press release. “Once we launch the organizational accounts and online filing of I-129 H-1B petitions, the entire H-1B lifecycle becomes fully electronic -- from registration, if applicable, to our final decision and transmission to the Department of State.”
Organizational accounts are likely to launch by February 2024, and the online filing of Forms I-129 and I-907 to follow shortly after. These changes are not only aimed at streamlining the Form I-129 H-1B petition process but also intend to mitigate issues such as duplicate H-1B registrations and other common errors.
As part of its efforts to enhance efficiency, USCIS will shift the paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 from service centers to the USCIS lockbox to standardize the processes and reduce costs.
To assist organizations and legal representatives in navigating the process, the agency is also planning two national engagements on organizational accounts on January 23-24. Additionally, several smaller sessions leading up to the H-1B registration period will be conducted. These sessions will provide individuals with the opportunity to ask questions about organizational accounts in preparation for the FY 2025 H-1B electronic registration process and the launch of online filing of Form I-129 for H-1B petitions.
