USISPF chief Mukesh Aghi engages with lawmakers on U.S.-India ties
Aghi congratulated him on his appointment as co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans for the 119th Congress.

In an effort to bolster the US-India strategic partnership, Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), recently met with members of the U.S. Congress.
In his meeting with Congressman Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10), Aghi congratulated him on becoming the first Indian American and South Asian to represent the state of Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives and expressed the organization's intent to collaborate with Subramanyam’s office to enhance the strategic and democratic partnership between the United States and India.

During his meeting with Congressman Rich McCormick (GA-07), Aghi congratulated him on his appointment as co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans for the 119th Congress.

The caucus, which reached a record membership of 145 in the previous Congress, plays a key role in advancing national security, economic ties, and strategic cooperation between the two nations.

McCormick, who represents a district with a strong Indian American presence, had earlier stated, "I have the great privilege of serving many hardworking Indian Americans in my district and will continue to strengthen our relationship with India.”
Aghi reiterated the bipartisan nature of the U.S.-India partnership, highlighting shared priorities in trade, defense, science and technology, energy, and people-to-people ties. He expressed optimism about working closely with Congressman McCormick’s office to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
During his discussion with Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson (D-IL-01), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Aghi focused on multiple avenues to bolster the U.S.-India partnership. He specifically noted the Midwest region’s significance as a thriving hub for the Indian diaspora, referencing Chicago’s Devon Street, known as "Little India."

Aghi also conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with Congressman Jackson to deepen economic and strategic engagement.

It serves as a platform to promote business-to-business and government-to-government engagement across key sectors, including trade, defense, technology, energy, and healthcare.
