USISPF hails successful JD Vance visit to India

The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) described United States Vice President JD Vance’s first official visit to India, as a “defining moment” in the evolving relationship between the two democratic states.
Despite the backdrop of a tragic terror attack in Kashmir, the forum emphasized the visit’s success in reinforcing strategic, economic, and defense cooperation between the nations.

“The Vice President’s visit had personal and official significance for the second-in-command. The visit reflected the importance of the strategic partnership that the Trump administration seeks to build on,” USISPF noted, highlighting Vance’s role in advancing the U.S.-India agenda outlined during the recent Trump-Modi summit.
The fourm praised Vice President Vance’s reaffirmation of India’s role as a key partner in building a "prosperous and peaceful" 21st century. His meetings built on deliverables from the February summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, with a particular focus on trade, defense, and energy.
USISPF welcomed the finalization of the Terms of Reference for trade talks dubbing it as a vital step toward reaching the ambitious $500 billion bilateral trade goal. In defense, the announcement of the U.S.-India COMPACT initiative marks a major leap forward, the forum said.
During the visit, energy cooperation also saw a boost with new plans around civil nuclear projects and critical mineral collaboration. The US-India Trust Initiative is set to propel joint technological innovation across industries, USISPF highlighted.
The forum expressed confidence that the visit would add lasting momentum to bilateral ties amid global uncertainty.
