Vasant Prabhu joins Intuit board

Intuit Inc., a leading global financial software company, based in California, has appointed Vasant Prabhu, former CFO and vice chairman of Visa Inc., to its board of directors.

According to a statement by the firm, this strategic move underscores Intuit's commitment to furthering its financial services leadership as the Indian American’s extensive experience in financial services and technology will be instrumental in guiding its growth trajectory.

Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit welcomed the apartment and highlighted Prabhu's leadership at Visa, where he played a pivotal role in the company's transformation and payments ecosystem. “We are excited to welcome Vasant to our board. He has deep expertise in financial services innovation and building a global technology and payments platform,” she said.

“His leadership experience as CFO of large public companies, expanding financial technology and services, and scaling businesses internationally, will help guide Intuit's next chapter of growth as we power prosperity around the world,” Goodarzi further added.

In addition to his tenure at Visa, Prabhu has held CFO roles at renowned companies including NBCUniversal Media, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, and Safeway, Inc. His board experience includes roles at Delta Air Lines and previously at Mattel, Inc., where he chaired the Audit Committee.

Expressing enthusiasm about joining Intuit, Prabhu highlighted the company's dedication to innovation and customer-centric approach. His appointment expands Intuit's board to 12 directors, further strengthening its leadership team.

"I've long admired Intuit’s focus on innovation and how the company continues to transform itself to better serve its customers," said Prabhu. "I'm honored to work alongside Sasan and the leadership team as they execute on the exciting opportunities ahead."

His academic background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
