Vivek Ramaswamy alleges ‘election interference by Biden’ after Trump’s Colorado lawsuit
Ramaswamy suggested that the case against Donald Trump be tossed out immediately as it was just a “tactic” by the Left to keep the latter from holding office again.

After six Colorado voters filed a lawsuit on September 6 seeking to keep Donald Trump off the ballots in that state under the 14th Amendment, Vivek Ramaswamy came out strongly in support of his Republican opponent. As per the amendment, anyone who "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" against the Constitution after taking an oath to defend it is ineligible to hold office.
Describing the recent filing as an attempt at “election interference” by President Joe Biden and his allies, Ramaswamy said in a post on X that the 14th Amendment is “a new tactic” deployed by the Left to bar Trump from ever holding office again.
Ramaswamy’s post explained that Trump is not a former “officer of the United States” which according to the Supreme Court’s explanation is “someone appointed by the President to aid him in his duties.” He added, “The term does not apply to elected officials, and certainly not to the President himself.”
“The Framers of the 14th Amendment would be shocked and appalled to see their narrow provision—intended to bar former U.S officials who switched to the Confederacy from seeking public office—being weaponized by a sitting president and his political allies to prevent a former president from seeking reelection,” Ramaswamy’s post read, suggesting that the judge assigned to this case must immediately toss it out.
