US Vice President J D Vance and Second Lady Usha left on the morning of March 28 for Pituffik Space Base in Greenland.

Vance's day-long trip gains significance in the wake of President Donald Trump's move to make Greenland part of the United States. Denmark, which currently controls Greenland, has fiercely opposed such a move.
