Waters Corporation, headquartered in Massachusetts, inaugurated its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru, marking a major step in its strategy for global expansion.

The state-of-the-art facility, strategically located in Bengaluru’s RMZ Ecoworld technology park, stands as a testament to Waters Corporation’s commitment to accelerating technology adoption, fostering innovation, and enhancing business efficiencies, according to a release by the firm.

Costing a notable US$16 million, the GCC will play a pivotal role in reshaping Waters Corporation’s global landscape, the release mentioned.

The center, which has the ability to employ more than 300 professionals, will take on responsibilities that were previously outsourced to other companies. As a result, it will become a center of talent that focuses on areas such as software engineering, technology, and product development.

Dr. Udit Batra, president and CEO of Waters Corporation, expressed enthusiasm about the strategic move, stating, “India continues to be one of our fastest growing markets and a key location for the talent that we need to drive global customer success and innovation forward.”

The general manager of Waters India, T. Anilkumar, cited Bengaluru's closeness to clients, welcoming business climate, and abundance of talent as reasons for the city's selection as the best site. He remarked, "Our GCC in Bengaluru will allow us to access and develop exceptional talent within Waters to accelerate our technological capabilities, operational excellence, and productivity.”
