We have work to do: Shekar Narasimhan on Indian American voter turnout

Narasimhan noted that despite significant efforts in past election cycles, recent data suggests voter apathy may be growing.

Shekar Narasimhan, chairman and founder of the AAPI Victory Fund, expressed concern over declining voter turnout among Indian Americans. 

“We dramatically increased our voter participation from 2016 to 2020. But it seems to have slipped in 2024,” Narasimhan said in an interview with New India Abroad on the sidelines of Indiaspora Summit Forum for Good (IFG) 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
