Wipro Limited, a prominent Indian technology services and consulting company, has established a new office in Jefferson City, Missouri as part of its strategic move to collaborate with the state's Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program to attract and engage local talent, contributing to the growth and development of the community while expanding its presence in the United States.
The inauguration event marking the collaboration between JAG and Wipro was held on September 14, in the presence of Teresa Parson, the First Lady of Missouri and co-chair of JAG, as the esteemed guest of honour. JAG plays a crucial role in assisting high school graduates in finding employment opportunities that can lead to fulfilling and sustainable careers.
Speaking at the event, Parson said, “I’m delighted that Wipro has chosen Jefferson City as its base in Missouri. The opening of this new workspace will boost the local economy as well as attract new talent to the region. Job creation is something I am passionate about and I’m proud to have Wipro’s support for our Jobs for America’s Graduates program.”
Srini Pallia, chief executive officer, Americas 1, Wipro Limited, said, “We’re delighted to open this brand-new facility in Jefferson City and celebrate our partnership with JAG. This working space highlights our commitment to all our clients in the area as well as our efforts in creating local jobs.”
