The Wright State University has conferred its 2024 Brage Golding Distinguished Professor of Research Award to Indian-American professor Anand Jeyaraj for his influential contributions to the field of information systems both locally and internationally.
A professor of information systems at the university’s Raj Soin College of Business, Jeyaraj has an extensive research portfolio, with over 100 publications, including 75 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His work covers a wide range of topics within the information systems discipline, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and Industry 4.0.
His research has garnered more than 8,600 citations in leading journals like MIS Quarterly, Management Science, and Journal of Strategic Information Systems. Researchers from countries like the U.K., India, China, and Morocco have sought collaborations with him, further highlighting the international reach of his work. He has also served as a keynote speaker at several major conferences.
Jeyaraj was awarded the inaugural Ranyard Medal by the Operational Research Society in the United Kingdom for his paper published in the Journal of Business Analytics. His research has also benefited local businesses in the Dayton area, and helped secure funding for projects from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Institute of Technology.
Donald Hopkins, interim dean of Wright State’s Raj Soin College of Business, praised Jeyaraj’s impact on the university. “He has gained significant international recognition,” Hopkins said. “His research credentials, the international impact and recognition of his research and the distinction to the university has exceeded expectations.
Jeyaraj holds a Ph.D. in business administration (with emphasis in Information Systems) from the University of Missouri, a Masters degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Missouri, and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Bishop Heber College, India.
