ZEE5 Global announces world digital premiere of ‘Demonte Colony 2’ on Sept 27
Demonte Colony 2 builds on the story of its predecessor, revisiting the horror of a cursed chain that awakens a vengeful spirit.

ZEE5 Global, a streaming platform for South Asian content, has announced the digital premiere of Demonte Colony 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the Tamil horror classic Demonte Colony.
Directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film will be available for streaming starting Sept. 27, 2024, following its successful theatrical run. Produced by Bobby Balachandran under BTG Universal, Gnanamuthu Pattarai, and White Nights Entertainment, the sequel stars Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles.
Demonte Colony 2 builds on the story of its predecessor, revisiting the horror of a cursed chain that awakens a vengeful spirit. The plot follows a group of friends who steal the cursed artifact, triggering a series of terrifying events. As the malevolent force begins its revenge, a few survivors band together to confront the evil entity.
With a box office gross of over US$ 6.55 million, Demonte Colony 2, has been praised for its intense horror sequences, compelling performances, and fresh twists on the original storyline. Director Gnanamuthu expressed his excitement for the film’s wider release, stating, “I’m thrilled to bring the world of Demonte Colony 2 to a global audience through ZEE5.”
Lead actor Arulnithi, who plays a dual role in the sequel, said, “Portraying two distinct characters in the same film was a challenge, but the audience response has been extremely positive. I’m excited for the film to reach an even wider audience through its digital premiere.”

Alongside Demonte Colony 2, ZEE5 Global is also premiering other South Indian titles, including Raghuthatha and Nunakkuzhi.
